Maintenance operation at Great Barrington Airport has been run by Berkshire Aviation Enterprises since the 1940’s .  Like everyone else at GBR the maintenance crew is comprised of highly skilled individuals who have dedicated their lives to safe general aviation.  Our FAA Certified Repair Station (BPGR558C) provides comprehensive and quality service while still maintaining the personal and friendly experience that is so characteristic of everything at Great Barrington Airport.

Meet the crew:

 

Jeffery Dodge is Chief Inspector (which means he is in charge). A mechanic since 1989, his ratings are A&P and IA.  Jeff spent 13 years with United Airlines working on turbojet airliners before moving his family back to his home town and joining us.

 

Wade Bernstein is Shop Forman.  He has 20 years of airplane maintenance experience.  His ratings are A&P and IA.  Wade has extensive experience with Piper aircraft as well as turboprops and light twins.   He also is a private pilot which brings an important prospective to his work.

 

Jon Curtiss   is an Inspector.  He brings 40 years of experience to his work. His ratings are A&P and IA.  He is, also, Rotax 912 certified.  Jon spent eight years as a crew chief on single and twin engine jets for the Air Force (four on active duty and four as a reserve).  He attained the rank of Captain.  As an aircraft owner and private pilot he is active in the Civil Air Patrol.
